Azerbaijan Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov in the sidelines of the Diplomatic Forum in Antalya met with the European Union Commissioner for the Expansion and Neighborhood Policy by Oliver Warheli.
At the meeting, J. Baires spoke about the work on the restoration of territories held in the region, in particular about the possible role of the EU.
Commissioner Oliver Warheli, in turn, emphasized the role of Azerbaijan in providing energy security of Europe and, in particular, the importance of cooperation in the energy sector.
At the meeting, an exchange of views on events in Ukraine was also held.
At the same time, the parties expressed the intention on the speedy completion of negotiations on a new agreement, which will become the legal basis of relations between Azerbaijan and the European Union.
