Azerbaijan And Iraq Discussed Strengthening Of Bilateral And Regional Cooperation

The Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Jaihun Bayramov informed the Iraqi colleague Fuad Hussein about the Armenian-Azerbaijani peace process.

According to Azerbaijani media on Wednesday, May 7, negotiations in one -on -one format and in an expanded composition were held as part of the official visit of Bayramov to Baghdad.

During a meeting with the participation of delegations, the issues of bilateral and regional cooperation were discussed on the agenda between the two countries, in particular, the prospects of partnership in the areas of economics, trade, energy, transport, communications, science, culture, education, tourism, as well as the regional and global situation.

It is also noted that the signing under the visit of the Memorandum of mutual understanding of cooperation between the University of Hell and the Institute of the Diplomatic Service of the Republic of Iraq was a significant event in expanding cooperation in the field of education.

Particular attention at the meeting was paid to such key sectors as economics, trade, energy, transport and communications, science, culture, education and tourism, and the wide possibilities of strengthening both bilateral and multilateral partnerships were discussed.

Jaykhun Bayramov also provided information about the post -conflict situation in the region, restoration, clearance and efforts to establish peace, including problems in connection with the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
