Azerbaijan and Israel signed an important air report agreement

The Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiev during a working visit to Israel held a number of bilateral meetings. As part of the visit, an air report was signed between the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Transport and Safety of Roads of Israel.

The press service of the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of Azerbaijan reported that this agreement will contribute to the simplification of mutual visits of citizens of Azerbaijan and Israel, will have a positive impact on the development of tourism and cultural ties between countries.

The Minister of Transport and Safety of the Road of Israeli Merera Mikhaili expressed satisfaction of the development of relations on the ascending line between the two countries and highly appreciated the Air Commission agreement. During the meeting, an exchange of opinions on cooperation in the field of transport between Israel and Azerbaijan took place.

As part of the visit, a meeting was also held with the Minister of Tourism of Israel, the co-chair of the Israelsk-Azerbaijani joint intergovernmental commission, Konstantin Yoel Redvozov. At the meeting, noting the presence of potential opportunities for cooperation in the field of tourism, Minister Rashad Nabiev praised the activities of the trade and tourism representative office of Azerbaijan, opened last year in Israel. Speaking about the implemented large -scale projects in the field of transport and logistics at the territories liberated from the Armenian occupation and the opening of the Zangesur corridor, the minister also reported the tourism capabilities of the Karabakh region.

Konstantin Yoel Razvozov said that this year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Israel and Azerbaijan. According to him, over the past two years, cooperation and strategic partnership with Azerbaijan have reached a new level. Today, areas of cooperation include important areas such as security, agriculture, energy, water supply, healthcare, as well as tourism. The Minister of Tourism of Israel emphasized the need for a more active development of partnership in all areas.

Minister Rashad Nabiev also met with the executive director of the Israeli Innovation Department Drour Bin. At the meeting, discussions were held in the field of “government cloud” and “electronic government”, and the Israeli side shared its experience in this area.

During the meeting with the director of the Israeli Space Agency Oron, it was about broadcasting supported by Israeli companies in the region of Europe, the Middle East and Africa in the framework of cooperation with Azercosmos. The meeting discussed the prospects for cooperation with the Israeli space scientific industry and research centers.

Israeli agencies and companies were invited to take part in the International Congress of astronautics, which will be held in Baku in 2023.
