Azerbaijan and Russia expand road at border

Azerbaijan and Russia plan to reconstruct and expand to four lanes a 24-kilometer road between the Samur and Hanoba border checkpoints, said Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan, Chairman of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic and Humanitarian Cooperation between Azerbaijan and Republic Dagestan Shakhin Mustafaev at a meeting with the Chairman of the Government of Dagestan, chairman of the commission Abdulmuslim Abdulmuslimov in Baku.

Mustafaev said that under bilateral agreements, the President of Azerbaijan allocated funds for the reconstruction and expansion of up to four lanes of the road with a length of 24 kilometers between the Border and Hanobe border checkpoints, as well as for the reconstruction of the Hanobe customs point.

Note that following the meeting of S. Mustafaev and A. Abdulmoslimov signed an action plan for 2023-2025 to develop the main areas of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Dagestan.
