Azerbaijan and Slovakia signed declaration of strategic partnership

between Azerbaijan and the Slovaki signed a joint declaration of strategic partnership.

The document was signed by the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Prime Minister of Slovakia Robert Fitzo.

Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic Robert Fitzo arrived on an official visit to Baku.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, in a statement for the press with the Prime Minister of Slovakia, noted that a new page is opening in Slovak-Azerbaijani relations.

“I hope that our joint path will be very successful,” the head of state noted.

According to him, among the documents signed as part of the visit of documents there are documents in the field of defense and defense industry. A wide exchange of views was held in these two directions, Aliyev noted.

The Head of State emphasized that Azerbaijan and Slovakia have already begun specific negotiations on the creation of joint production sites in the field of defense industry.

He also indicated that Azerbaijan uses reliable ways to transport his natural gas to Europe.

Having stated that deliveries to Europe will increase from 8 billion cubic meters in 2021 to 12 billion cubic meters this year, the head of state said that this is exactly half of the total export of Gaza of Azerbaijan. “In our plans, the issue of transportation only in the European Union is 20 billion cubic meters of gas until the end of 2027. I think we will achieve this,” the president emphasized.

Robert Fitzo, in turn, expressed the readiness of Slovakia to be a bridge between Azerbaijan and the European Union.

“We want to present the European Union objective situation in Azerbaijan,” said the Prime Minister.
