A meeting of the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Sakhil Babayev’s social protection with the Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine Marina Lazuba in Video Formte was held.
Babayev stressed that the relationship between Azerbaijan and Ukraine, based on mutual trust and support, are at the level of strategic partnership. He noted the successful cooperation of the two countries in bilateral format and within the framework of international organizations.
He noted that the development of the social sphere is one of the main priorities in the Policy of President Ilham Aliyev. The minister also informed about social reforms held in Azerbaijan, the consistent steps taken towards an increase in social benefits, as well as a significant increase in these payments these days.
Speaking about bilateral cooperation with the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine for the past period, Babayev noted that there are opportunities to expand cooperation.
Lazebane in turn expressed satisfaction with the high level of relations between his country with Azerbaijan. Also, the Minister noted the interest in expanding links, exchange experience in the field of labor, employment, social protection.
The meeting took place an exchange of views on the legal database formed over the past period between the two ministries, as well as on the directions of further cooperation. The preparation of the draft New Cooperation Agreement in the Pension Sphere was discussed.
