Export of green energy and the possibility of hydrogen production in the future, as well as cooperation with international companies, discussed during the meeting of the Minister of Energy of Azerbaijan Pyrosziza Shakhbazz and Ambassador Lee Li Lithzerberger, reported in the Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan.
The meeting discussed bilateral relations in the energy sector, the VIII ministerial meeting in the framework of the South Gas Corridor Advisory Board (SUGK) and the prospects for expanding the corridor, the report states, on Wednesday published on the Office website.
Shakhbazov called the VIII ministerial meeting within the framework of the SUGK productive, and noted that it would be useful for the further development of the project.
During the meeting, the US Ambassador noted that natural gas will play an important role in the energy transition, “and therefore it is important to encourage investments in gas projects.”
“Litzmenberger stressed that Azerbaijan is a reliable energy industry,” the Ministry of Energy said.
Parties also exchanged views on projects in the field of renewable energy.
