In order to accelerate the processes associated with the development of Azerbaijani-Uzbek energy cooperation, a meeting of the Minister of Energy of Azerbaijan Parviz Shakhbazov with the First Deputy Minister of Energy of Uzbekistan, acting as Minister Azima Akhmedhajaev, took place.
As part of the meeting, a roadmap was signed to expand cooperation in the energy sector between the Azerbaijan Republic and the Republic of Uzbekistan. “
The roadmap covers 30 areas, including the creation of a joint working group, cooperation in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan, the participation of Uzbek companies in renewable energy projects, as well as joint activities in the hydrocarbon sector.
The Minister of Energy of the Parviz Shakhbazov noted that the historical state visit of Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev to Uzbekistan actualized the deepening of strategic partnership in the energy sector between the two countries.
“The roadmap of our joint activities in the energy sector will contribute to the development of multifaceted energy cooperation,” said Minister Shakhbazov.
