Azerbaijan began building a railway in Kelbajar, Agdam and Shushu

Azerbaijan Railways CJSC on the international exhibition “Recovery, Reconstruction and Development of Karabakh” revealed new railway projects in Karabakh.

“Arzh” began construction of the railway line Dalimamemäli Kelbajar. On this one-section rail line with a length of 88.8 km along the axis, it is planned to design and build about 220 artificial engineering facilities.

In addition, work continues on Barda-Agdam railway lines, Goradis-Agband and the construction of the Fizuli-Shusha railway line has begun.

Currently, the entire railway branch is topotown using a drone, a conceptual plan has been prepared, earthworks are underway on a 39-kilometer plot of land, as well as the construction of artificial structures.

The length of the single-road electrified Fizuli-Shusha railway line is 83.4 km. The project provides for the design and construction of two new stations – Fizuli and Shusha, as well as about 200 artificial engineering facilities. Currently, topographic surveys of the railway track are completed and construction of artificial engineering facilities is underway.
