Azerbaijan: Code for Future project expands

In the 2022-2023 academic year, it is planned to expand the educational IT project of Code for Future, initiated by the Ministry of Science and Education of Azerbaijan together with the International School of Mathematics and Programming Algorithmika.

The purpose of the project is to teach students ̇T professions at the Junior level of specialists.

Thanks to the successful completion of the project’s pilot stage in the new academic year, Code for Future will cover 600 students of the III and IV courses studying at the undergraduate of technical specialties of the Azerbaijan State University of Oil and Industry (AGUNP). Training will take place in three specialties: “Web developer”, “System Administrator”, “QA engineer”.

Recall that, within the framework of the project stage, last year 259 students out of 298 students of the III and IV courses studying at the undergraduate of the AGUNP technical specialties have successfully completed three -month courses in two areas – “Web development” and “System administration”. Based on the results of training, students successfully learned the material – the average level of performance was 93 out of 100 points.

In order to maintain students’ motivation and give the opportunity to know better about their future profession, meetings with high -class developers and specialists of famous companies were held.

In addition to the main classes, measures were also held aimed at helping in the employment of future graduates. At the trainings, students gained work skills, self -presentation, learned to make a resume and motivational letters, and also learned to pass Soft and Hard interviews. To date, 40 out of 102 4 -year students found a job or internship in the specialties received in the project. After completing the course of the course, work on help in the employment of graduates started.
