Azerbaijan’s national futsal team played its third match in the qualifying tournament of the European Championship-2022.
In Baku, at the Sports Palace, our team hosted Moldova and won with a score of 5: 1. Fineo (7th minute), Farzaliyev (14th), Ahmadi (15th) and twice Bolinha (27th and 40th) distinguished themselves in the national team of Azerbaijan. Takot scored the only goal for the guests in the 26th minute.
Recall that in the first two matches Azerbaijan won Slovakia in Baku (4: 1), and in Athens – Greece (3: 0). With 9 points, our players confidently take 1st place in the group and are close to guaranteeing themselves a ticket to Euro in the next round.

The Azerbaijani national team will play the next match on March 9 against Moldova in Chisinau.
This is the first time this qualifying tournament is being held in a modified format. If earlier the members of the group played all the matches in one country for several days, now the national teams play like in big football – traveling.
At this stage, 32 teams are divided into eight groups. The group winners, as well as the top six runners-up teams, will advance directly to the finals, which will take place in the Netherlands from January 19 to February 6, 2022. The owner of one more ticket to the Euro will be determined by the results of the playoffs, in which the remaining two teams will play, which took 2nd place in the groups.
