Armenia is trying to create an opinion on the alleged “blockade” of the Lachinsky road, in this regard, some countries make statements about its “opening”, the foreign Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Jaykhun Bayramov told reporters.
According to him, the participants in the environmental action from the first day were stated that the protests on the Lachin road did not pursue the goals to create any humanitarian catastrophe for ordinary residents, and this is proved.
“The position of Azerbaijan on this issue is clear and consistent: this is a peaceful action of protest,” said the Foreign Minister.
He also noted that there are many deposits in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan.
“these are gold and other deposits. Karabakh is rich in natural resources and their looting, including deposits, took place mainly during the occupation,” said Bayramov.
The minister explained that out of 151 deposits 52 were exploited exclusively in 1993-2020.
“It was not only illegal, but also damaged ecology,” he stressed.
Bayramov also noted that not only Armenia was engaged in the plunder of resources of Azerbaijan.
“Azerbaijan Foreign Ministry has all the necessary information on this issue, the relevant negotiations are currently underway. Azerbaijan is fully controlled by this issue. The assessment will be given in the plane of international law,” said the Foreign Minister.
