Azerbaijan has ceased to be main importer of Georgian potatoes

Georgia increased 10 times increased potatoes. At the same time, Azerbaijan stopped being the main importer of Georgian potatoes, giving way to Russia. Such data leads a load station.

According to information, in January-September 2021, 30 thousand tons of potatoes in the amount of $ 10.5 million were exported from Georgia, which is almost 10 times more than in the same period of 2021.

At the same time, for 9 months of 2020, the export of potatoes was 3 thousand tons, which in monetary terms ranged only 917 thousand dollars.

In recent years, the highest potato export rate was in 2017, when for 9 months exports amounted to 35,861 tons. Only the main importer country was different – in 2017 98, 5% of the export of potatoes accounted for Azerbaijan, in January-September 2021, 68% of exports accounted for Russia.

In total, 20,403 tons (92 million dollars) were exported to Russia, 4,924 tons (614,200), Moldova 1,738 tons (319,600), Turkmenistan 871 tons (125,300), and Belarus 669 tons (177 100 dollars).
