Azerbaijan has limited import of food from four countries

Food safety agency temporarily limited transit through Azerbaijan living birds from four countries – the Netherlands, Poland, Slovakia and Hungary.

As reported by Haqqin.az in the agency, according to the World Animal Health Organization (OIE), in Utrecht (Netherlands), the Greater Poland administrative territory (Poland), Trnava (Slovakia) and administrative-territorial units of Chongrad and Bekesh (Hungary) registered Highly Pathogenic Bird Flu.

In this regard, a temporary restriction on transit through Azerbaijan live birds and incubation eggs, bird meat, finished meat products, all types of poultry products, feed additives for birds, import equipment used for cutting and recycling of birds are introduced. The State Customs Committee made an appeal to adopt appropriate measures for vehicles entering or passing transit through the territory of Azerbaijan.
