Azerbaijan installed border checkpoint on border with Armenia

Azerbaijan, as a response, set a border checkpoint on the border with Armenia, the country’s state border service reported.

The GPS noted that the border room is established “in order to prevent the transfer of manpower, ammunition, mines, as well as other military equipment from Armenia illegal Armenian armed forces in Azerbaijan.”

In addition, the creation of a checkpoint is a response to the establishment of an Armenia of the border point at the entrance to the Lachinsky road at the border with Azerbaijan.

“On April 23 at 12:00 p.m. Units of the State Border Service of the Azerbaijan Republic, a border checkpoint was established in the sovereign territories of our country, on the border with Armenia, at the beginning of the Lachin -Khanidi road,” the department said.

It is reported that the command of the Russian military contingent, temporarily deployed in the territory of Azraeijan, and the Russian-Turkish monitoring center, are informed about this.

Earlier, the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan said that Armenia, violating the trilateral statement of November 10, 2020, built a checkpoint at the entrance to the Lachinsky road.
