Azerbaijan, Iran and Russia signed a declaration

The ceremony of signing the declaration following the results of the first tripartite meeting of Azerbaijan-Russian-Iran on the development of the international transport corridor of the North-South.

The document was signed by the Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Shakhin Mustafaev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian government Alexander Novak and the Minister of Road and City Development of Iran Rustam Gazemi.

The parties emphasized the importance of creating a working group to solve transport, transit and procedural issues in the context of the development of the corridor and intend to hold the first meeting within a month.

In addition, Azerbaijan, Iran and Russia intend to prepare a draft agreement on the project of the RisTar railway and integrate the Iranian port of Chabahar into the corridor.

Note that today, September 9, a tripartite meeting of representatives of Azerbaijan, Iran and Russia was held in Baku, during which the parties provided information about work aimed at developing the North-South MTC in areas in each of the countries.
