Azerbaijan: persons involved in special services of Iran were detained

Azerbaijan’s law enforcement agencies reported the detention of a group of persons who planned, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the State Security Service and Prosecutor General’s Office, the organization of attempts on officials and public figures and the creation of the state “Kerima”.

The joint statement of three structures notes that Rufulla Ahundzade and his son Almursal, who collaborate with the Iranian special services, prepared a special plan for creating “resistance detachments” with the aim of organizing attempts and creating by violent change in the constitutional system of the state “Kerime”.

As part of this plan, Rufull Akhundzade created closed groups in WhatsApp, Telegram and other messaging systems.

Ahundzade and his son handed over to the group members of the group about the officials and public figures of Azerbaijan, on whom it was planned to make attempts. They were instructed to purchase firearms and make Molotov cocktails.

“During the operation, seven members of the QıSAS 313 group were detained and transferred to the investigation. In addition, other persons associated with the members of the group were detained,” the statements of the departments said.
