President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev expressed condolences to the Iranian people in connection with the death of President Iran Ebrahim Raisisi.
“are deeply shocked by the severe loss, which befell the fraternal and friendly Islamic Republic of Iran and its people, the news of the tragic death of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Iran Ibrahim Raisisi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Hosseyn Amir Abdolkhiyan and other accompanying persons as a result of the collapse of a helicopter”, – says in a letter of condolences of the head of state, directed by the Supreme Leader of Iran Ayatolle Ali Hameni.
The letter notes that in the person of President New Ebrahim Raisi, the people of Iran lost “an outstanding statesman who all his life selflessly and devotedly served his country”.
Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry also expressed condolences to Iran in connection with the death of the President of the country.
