Azerbaijan shared experience with Brazil, Spain and Hungary

a regular meeting of the Coalition “World Leaders in Digital Transformation”, formed by Microsoft, with the participation of UNESCO and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development.

As reported by the Ministry of Education, during the meeting, a joint seminar was held on the formation of a digital education ecosystem, the presentations of innovative practices applied in education during the COVID-19 pandemic in Azerbaijan, Finland and Australia were also held. Representatives of the Ministries of Education of Brazil, Spain and Hungary were attended as listeners.

Speaking about the project “Virtual School”, implemented in Azerbaijan, and the steps taken in the direction of digital transformation of education, the head of the management of informatization of the Education system of Azerbaijan under the Ministry of Education, Vesal Khanlarov stressed that the main goal is to create equal educational opportunities for students in the country.

It was noted that during the COVID-19 pandemic in a short time, new systems were created and put into operation, with the result that the effective application of data and artificial intelligence opened wide prospects for development. After presentations between the countries, discussions were held, the participants appreciated the work done on digital transformation of education in three countries.

It should be noted that Azerbaijan joined the coalition “The leading countries of the world in the field of digital transformation” this year in the framework of the Microsoft Ministry of Education and Corporation “Letters about the intent on digital transformation of education.”
