Azerbaijan taxi driver was killed because of a dispute about Ukraine

A garrison military court in Rostov-on-Don arrested a soldier from the Moscow region on suspicion of killing a taxi driver from Azerbaijan. The officer will remain in the pre -trial detention center for two months – at least until the next meeting.

33 -year -old soldier Alexei K. – a native of the city of Ruza near Moscow. The man served in the missile forces. In power structures, Alexei rose to the title of captain and was in several hot spots.

The victim was the 51-year-old taxi driver Roman G., a resident of a small village of Ryasnaya, Rostov region. The deceased was a native of Azerbaijan, moved to Russia many years ago.

According to a preliminary version, the military argued with a taxi driver who brought him to the embankment. Between men there was a dispute about the war in Ukraine. Having exhausted the arguments, the soldier fired four times at the opponent from the Makarov pistol.

Investigative Department of the IC in the Rostov Region launched a criminal case under the article “Murder”. The officer faces up to 15 years in prison.
