Azerbaijan will purchase 300,000 doses of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine as part of the fight against the spread of a new type of coronavirus infection. The corresponding decree was signed on Thursday by Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov.
According to the Agreement on the supply of medicines, signed between the State Agency for Compulsory Health Insurance of Azerbaijan and the Russian company HUMAN VACCINE LLC, 300,000 doses of Sputnik V vaccine will be imported to Azerbaijan within 180 days.
The Ministry of Health and the State Agency for Compulsory Health Insurance have been instructed to resolve issues arising from this order.
