The youth (U-18) Azerbaijani team in basketball became the bronze medalist of the European Championship in the “C” division, which ends in San Marino.
Today, our team in the match for 3rd place met with Luxembourg and won with a score of 78:73. In order to determine the winner, an additional 5-minute was needed, since the main time ended in a draw.
Recall, the Azerbaijani team took 1st place in the group, having beaten Luxembourg, Gibraltar, Armenia and Moldova. In the semifinals, our basketball players lost to Albania.
Albania and Monaco will play in the final.
