“Next year, gas supplies to Europe on the southern gas corridor will be increased.” This was stated by Minister of Energy of Azerbaijan Pyharvis Shahbazov, speaking on the panel discussion on energy security under the Diplomatic Forum in Antalya, reports Report.
He stressed that the South Gas Corridor has already shown its success.
“Now it is transported to Turkey and Europe. Azerbaijan has huge gas fields in the Caspian Sea, and the existing infrastructure is in good condition. Various companies in the energy sector are greatly interested in cooperation with Azerbaijan,” the minister said. / P>
According to him, when talking about the energy policy of Azerbaijan, it is necessary to mention close cooperation with Turkey and joint projects.
Shahbazov noted that the development of energy is one of the main pillars of Azerbaijan-Turkish relations.
“Energy is one of the main topics for future cooperation between our countries,” he said.
The Minister also emphasized the importance of diversification during energy transportation.
“We are thinking about what we can make balanced and stable. Everyone knows that energy security is an integral factor for Azerbaijan. Now we can stating that political conflicts in the region and the world are instability for the gas market,” said Parviz Shakhbazov .
