Azerbaijan won 3 medals on “big helmet” in Paris

Azerbaijani judokos completed the performance at the Big Slam tournament in Paris with three medals.

On the second day of the competition, Murad Fatiev (90 kg) became a silver medalist, and Zelim Kotsya (100 kg) – bronze.

Fatiev passed rivals from Kazakhstan, Gabon, France, the Netherlands and Georgia, but in the final he lost another representative of Holland, the 2019 world champion Noel Van T end.

Kotsya defeated judoka from France and Turkey, but lost to an athlete who performs under the flag of the UAE. In a comforting grid, Zelim began with a victory over the Uzbek athlete, and in the battle for bronze he prevailed over last year’s winner of the Paris “large helmet” of Tom Nikiforov.

Recall that yesterday Balabey Agayev in the weight category up to 60 kg became the winner of the tournament, defeating the local athlete of the Cede of the Revol in the finale in the final.

Thus, the Azerbaijani team won gold, silver and bronze in Paris. Nine athletes represented our country at the tournament.
