Azerbaijani children in virtual reality in new center Steam

The development of innovation is one of the determining factors in the success of the country’s economy. Innovative centers combine ideas and opportunities for the implementation of scientific discoveries in various fields of activity. That is why in almost all developed and developing countries of the world there are modern innovative centers that also contribute to the development of education and technology. These centers are important for increasing scientific enthusiasm among society, especially among students and youth, providing the possibility of using the latest ICT equipment by using the skills of the 21st century and various programming languages.

The other day in Baku with the participation of Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev and the first Lady Mehriban Aliyeva, the opening of the unique innovative center of Steam has no analogues in Azerbaijan, which will necessarily attract the interest of talented youth and will become the next step in the development of the scientific sphere in the country.

It should be noted that the Steam innovation center, which is open to everyone interested in science, is equipped with the latest technologies. The new four -story building of the innovation center has an aircraft space, Newton’s classical room, Newtonon room for children, games rooms, structures, Heureka Classics, a laboratory for the manufacture of robots, a hologram 3D, VR. At the same time, the Museum of Science, the Scientific Theater and Telestudia Steam.

operates here.

This center can be called unique because in the museum you can study experiments using different school subjects, including physics and chemistry. You can also experiment in VR rooms. And in the Scientific theater, experiments are presented in a staged form.

The museum exhibits occupy an area of a thousand square meters and are located in 4 large halls. The center also has an IDEA workshop and 2 large laboratories called Challenge Lab, which include various Steam modules.

The 4th floor of the center can be called the “world” of Newton. Here, future scientists and startupians use knowledge gained from mathematics, geography, history and other items in an integrative way.

One of the most interesting areas of activity can definitely be called an air system. Here, future pilots are practiced by simulating the take -off and landing of the aircraft using various modules, changing weather conditions, city airports, etc.

The next, no less interesting hall, is the VR hall, where Z-Space devices are installed. According to the coach Shabn Ashurlu, these devices can be used in different ways and integrate into different objects: “All subject teachers can use them. For example, the screen can be applied to anatomy, physics, including the mechanics. Due to the depth effect, we can see objects in 3D dimension. This will make it possible to teach schoolchildren and students more effectively.
