Azerbaijani deputies criticized Kylychdaroglu project project

MPs of the Milli Majlis (parliament) of Azerbaijan criticized the Turkish presidential candidate from the opposition People’s Republican Party (CHP) Kemal Kylychdaroglu for the non-inclusion of Azerbaijan in his “Project for the Renaissance of the Historical Silk Road.” The politician himself calls the plan “the main project of his life.”

Deputy Hikmet Babaoglu in an interview with an ANADOLO correspondent said intersection relations should always be stable and comply with national interests.

noting that relations between Turkey and Azerbaijan are based on the principle of “one nation, two states”, Babaoglu said: “It is unacceptable that a politician who is striving to come to power (in Turkey – Ed.) Ignore the closest ally of Turkey – Azerbaijan” .

According to him, the Kylychdaroglu project does not meet the interests of the Turkic world.

“The synchronized actions of Turkey and Azerbaijan to ensure its rights and justice in a complex system of international relations, establish peace in the region and terminate the occupation (Azerbaijani territories by Armenia-Rod.) have become a very important factor. The Union of Turkey and Azerbaijan gave rise to hope for oppressed peoples and peoples whose lands are occupied. Unfortunately, Kylychdaroglu thoughts contradict this point of view. I leave these views of Kylychdaroglu at the discretion of the Turkish people. In the coming days, important elections will be held in Turkey. I am sure that Turkish public opinion will weigh every idea and accept the corresponding ones Solutions, ”he added.

Another parliamentarian, Vugar Bayramov, believes that it is incorrect to call the Kylychdaroglu project “Turkic road”. “Because this project does not run through the territory of Azerbaijan. It is incorrect to call a” Turkic road “any transport project that does not pass through the territory of Azerbaijan. At the same time, this is a very cost project,” the legislator explained.

In his opinion, even in the case of implementation, the project will not be profitable in the short and medium term. “It should also be borne in mind that the project will pass through the territory of Iran, against which European sanctions are imposed,” continued Bayramov.

“Without Azerbaijan, there cannot be a” Turkic road. “The Turkic world will unite through the Zangesur corridor, and not from any projects,” he also wrote on social networks.
