Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry responded to statement of OSCE MG co-chairs

The head of the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Leila Abdullayev answered the media issues in connection with the statement of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs (mg).

Leila Abdullayeva said that in his statement, the co-chairs welcomed the progress made in the implementation of the joint statement of the leaders of Azerbaijan, Russia and Armenia on November 10, 2020.

“However, it should be noted that most of the applications of the co-chairs are focused on the most important issues of the new post-conflict period, but on a number of other ideas and elements. The position of the Azerbaijani side in the realities created as a result of victory in the Patriotic War, clear . Our priorities include the restoration, reconstruction and reintegration of our territories affected by the 30-year conflict, and as a result of this process, ensuring equality regardless of religion or any other affiliation for all citizens, including citizens of Armenian origin living in these territories within the framework of the constitutional Building the Azerbaijan Republic. At the same time, the settlement of the conflict creates prospects for establishing normal relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia based on the principles of sovereignty, territorial integrity and irregularities of internationally recognized borders.
