The next trial was held on the appeal against former employees of the abolished Ministry of National Security – Movlam Shikhaliev, Yasin Mamedov, Vusala and Sahib Alekperovy.
According to haqqin.az, Movlam Shikhaliev turned to the court in his speech and said that he was absolutely innocent:
“I did not have the authority to give instructions to investigators or interfere in their work. We were not a military organization. I led the execution of the documents entering the department, carried out their distribution. Neither the main prosecutor nor Rustam Usubov gave me illegal instructions. I Non -Checious “.
Shikhaliev added that he did not accept the accusations of receiving bribes and extortion, and also complained about selected awards and title:

The former general also expressed dissatisfaction with the confiscation of property. He noted that he received part of this property in the inheritance, and he acquired part before taking office.
The victim Huseyn Safarov criticized Shikhaliev’s performance, calling the latter a traitor.
