Today, the Greco-Roman wrestling competition has ended. By four medals conquered yesterday, the Azerbaijani team added four more awards. Magomed Gasymzade (60 kg) won gold, Vadat Gasimly (51 kg) and Davud Mamedov (71 kg) – silver, and Huseyn Savadov (45 kg) – bronze.
Thus, with 8 medals, of which 2 are gold, 5 silver and 1 bronze, the Azerbaijani team set a record for the number of medals and the points scored. With 175 glasses, our team took the 1st team place, retaining the title of the strongest youthful national team of Europe. Last year, Azerbaijan scored 155 points at the European Championship in Bulgaria.
