Azerbaijani team won a medal at the World Cup in Stand of Stand in Moroccan Rabat.
In the men’s team competitions in our trio, as part of the most experienced Emin Jafarov, Fuad Gurbanov and Javid Gasanov won bronze medals.
In qualifications, among eight teams, the Azerbaijani team with 209 points took 4th place, receiving the right to take part in the match for bronze. Then our rival was a team of Greece. The meeting ended with a score of 6: 4 in favor of Azerbaijani shooters. And the winner of the World Cup was the US team, which prevailed in the final over Kuwait.
43-year-old Emin Jafarov is a participant in the Olympics in Tokyo. At the world championships, his best result is the 15th place that he took in 2018. At the World Cups, Jafarov in individual competitions previously took 5th place twice. He also managed to enter the top five at the European Championship once. This result was also achieved in 2018.
28-year-old Fuad Gurbanov has a bronze of last year’s Grand Prix in an asset in the Turkish horse. And the 21-year-old Javid Hasanov is still taking his first steps at an adult level.
As for team competitions, here we can distinguish 6th places at the World Cup-2021 in the Croatian Osieke and last year’s World Cup in Baku.
It is also worth noting that the women’s team of Azerbaijan took 4th place in similar competitions, losing in the Bahrain bronze match.
In the team council of the World Cup in Morocco, Azerbaijan with one bronze medal takes 6th place among 45 countries.
Azerbaijan is presented in Rabat by eight athletes. Competitions will end on January 23.
