In Greek Heracles, the European Judo Championship among veterans started.
On the first day of the competition, Azerbaijani athletes speaking under the leadership of the head coach of the national team of veterans Farhad Rajababi won 6 medals – 2 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze.
Gold medals in the Asset of Farhada Rajabli (90 kg, age category M7) and Director of Judo Club 2012 Mubariza Jafarova (90 kg, M5). Silver at Mushvig Jafarov (73 kg, M5) and Gabilya Gasimova (over 100 kg, M6). Bronze was taken by Nampik Gasimov (81 kg, M6) and Shamil of the Councils (81 kg, m8).
In total, 236 athletes and athletes from 31 countries participate in the European Championship. Azerbaijan is represented by 22 judokas. The European Championship will end on June 5th.
