Azerbaijanis in New York demanded an answer from Human Rights Watch

Activists of the Azerbaijani community living in the United States held a peaceful protest in New York to the headquarters of the International Human Rights Organization Human Rights Watch.

The State Committee for Work with the Diaspora of Azerbaijan reported that the event organized by the Azerbaijani-American Women’s Society together with the New York Cultural Society-Azerbaijan with the participation of the Azerbaijani and Turkish communities took place before the Empire State Building, where the headquarters of the international organization is located.

A statement of protest against Armenia’s war crimes, the latest military provocations committed by her on the state border, attacks by Armenian radical forces on the Azerbaijani embassy in the USA, France and Lebanon transferred personally to the Human Rigths Watch colon. The shares where the state flags of Azerbaijan, Turkey and the USA fluttered, attention was drawn to the war crimes of the Armenian armed forces during the 30-year occupation and during the Second Karabakh war.

It is noted that as a result of blows from September 27 to November 10, 2020 by heavy artillery, ballistic missiles, phosphorus and cassette bombs along Ganja, Naftalan, Barder, Mingiachevir and other Azerbaijani cities located ten kilometers from the zone conflict and front lines, 93 civilians, including 12 children and 27 women, died, 454 people were injured.

Locals, who showed interest in the action, distributed booklets reflecting the war crimes of Armenia. The safety of the participants of the event was guarded by employees of the 14th branch of the New York police. Our compatriots demanded that Human Rigths Watch have an answer to the protest of the Azerbaijani community.
