Azergold closed joint-stock company has begun reclamation work at the Agiohush-1 gold deposit in the Dashkessian district.
So, a CJSC, the priority of which is the observance of relevant norms and international standards for environmental protection in all areas of activity, the began technical and biological restoration in the territory of the gold deposit in operation.
, in the framework of the first stage of the reclamation plan approved by the Agency of the State Environmental Expertise of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, technical reclamation work was carried out in the area of the former breed warehouse, a fertile soil layer was restored, terraces were created on the slopes of the deposit.
In addition, work on biological reclamation was carried out on the territory – landscaping work. As part of the following stages of the project, it is planned to continue work to restore land in other areas of the mine.
This is the first in the mining industry of Azerbaijan a project of land reclamation in the finished area of gold mining.
in the framework of the reclamation works, begun on the eve of June 5, World Environmental Day, CJSC organized a landscaping action, in which employees of the company and contracting companies took part. As a result of the action, more than 600 Eldar pines were planted, 200 kg of clover seeds and 10 kg of walnut seeds were planted, agrotechnical maintenance was provided with newly salted seeds and trees.
In accordance with the CJSC corporate social responsibility, along with socio-economic measures for comprehensive support for the local population in nearby territories, the company regularly conducts mass measures aimed at protecting the environment. To date, more than 10,000 trees and shrubs have been planted in the Chovidar deposit in the Dashkensky district deposit, more than 15 hectares were landscaped. In addition, more than 100,000 oak seedlings were planted on an area of about 40 hectares for subsequent use in landscaping.
