On March 29, the supply of the city of Hankendi natural gas was resumed. According to HAQQın.az, this was stated by the head of the gas supply department for the Azerigas of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan, Teymur Jafarov during the Open Door Promotion.
T.Jafarov noted that the city of Hankendi and other territories liberated from occupation are the sovereign territory of Azerbaijan. Works in the gas infrastructure or other infrastructure in these territories can only be carried out by the Azerbaijani state. “The Karabakh economic zone, including the city of Hankendi, was gasified by Azerbaijan in the 1980s. During the subsequent occupation, most of the communications were destroyed by Armenians. The production association” Azerigaz “conducted certain repair and restoration work on the gas pipeline coming to the city of Hankendi,” He stated the head of the department.
According to Jafarov, in the following stages, the gas infrastructure in all of these territories will be completely reconstructed by Azerbaijan in a more ideal form that meets modern requirements. Citizens of Azerbaijan will be able to use the infrastructure that will be installed in these territories.
In addition, Jafarov told HaqQin.az that the General Plan of Agdam and Fizuli are almost ready. According to the General Plan, work has been completed on the design of the gas supply network of the city of Agdam by the Azerigas Production Association.
At the same time, in the coming days based on the general plan of the city of Fizuli, the preparation of project documentation for the gasification of the city will begin. Gasification work will begin in gradually after the government decides the decision.
