Azerigaz answered questions about meters

“household meters are sent for state verification every 5 years, and industrial – every 3 years. Azerigaz experts regularly inspect the counters on the spot, if the meter is discovered, the counter is immediately dismantled and sent to the Azerigaz metrology department for inspection. The participation of the subscriber is ensured during the audit, but in some cases the subscribers do not participate in the audit. In this case, the meter is checked without their presence. ” This was announced to reporters by the head of the Azerigaz metrology department Zekhin Rasulov.

Rasulov noted that when checking the meter, a visual inspection is first carried out, then all counters are placed on control and measuring devices to determine relative errors. “Household gas meters are checked in 3 positions – maximum, normal and minimum consumption. The error of the norm for the maximum and nominal consumption is a plus or minus 0.5%, the minimum consumption is 3 percent. If the error is within the norm, the counter is considered suitable to use and is returned to operation. In case of exceeding the indicators, then the counter is considered unusual and is decommissioned, ”he said.

The head of the control department of Gaza Elchin, Elchin G Pozhaev, answered the question of one of the subscribers about why, in some cases, a fine is issued after a state check of the meter. According to Godzhaev, Azerigaz does not have the authority to write out fines, and the amount indicated in the protocol is the amount of damage caused: “Most likely, there was some kind of malfunction in the meter. The amount loaded with the subscriber ended, but the counter counted in the minus, because that the valve has not been closed. Sometimes the subscriber does not pay attention to it, as a result of which the damage caused is calculated and the protocol is drawn up. Any subscription subscriber can contact Azerigaz and get acquainted with the results of the audit, ”he said.

The head of the Azerigaz department for public relations Eldaniz Veliev turned to media representatives: “Any journalist can contact us about the subscribers who are received by the gas supply to him.” Azerigaz “will create all the necessary conditions as a subscriber, so and the representative of the media to track and coverage all processes. Our goal is to ensure reality and transparency, ”he said.
