Azerigaz suspects residents of new building of illegal use of gas

Suspicious facts of illegal use of natural gas have been identified in a multi-storey residential building owned by Khatai-22 LLC, located on Lutfi Zade Street in the Khatai district of Baku.

In this regard, the employees of the Azerigaz production association conducted a raid, during which it turned out that no one lives in 34 apartments of the building, which consists of 354 apartments. Meters have been installed in 288 apartments, thanks to which subscribers use gas comfortably. However, in 32 apartments, meters were not installed and tenants and there are suspicions that tenants are using gas through extraneous connections.

Despite the fact that Azerigaz employees repeatedly asked to inspect these apartments, the apartment owners did not open the door. As reported in the Baku Regional Department for Gas Sales, the owners of 34 apartments received the last warning to create conditions for an internal inspection within 3 working days. Since today is a holiday, gas supply to the apartments did not stop.

It should also be noted that in this regard, the Baku Regional Gas Sales Department sent an appeal to law enforcement agencies and the building’s construction company.
