Baku and Stockholm strengthen cooperation in field of medicine

The Ministry of Health of Azerbaijan met with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Sweden in our country Tobias Lorentson.

The press service of the department said that the Minister of Health Teymur Musaev, speaking at the meeting, noted the dynamics of the development of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Sweden in recent years: “regular meetings of the heads of state, as well as mutual visits of members of government play an important role in the development of Azerbaijani -Swedish relations in various directions “.

The minister also indicated a wide potential for the development of cooperation in the field of healthcare. According to him, there are all conditions for the exchange of modern methodological and scientific and practical information in the field of continuous vocational training of medical specialists: “One of the most universal health models has been created in Sweden. Many countries use it as an example to create their own public health system. In addition This, the Swedish company Mölnlycke is one of the leading world companies for the production of high -quality medical equipment. “

Teimur Musaev also noted that the pharmaceutical industry of Sweden with a developed research base is one of the best in the world.

At the end, the Minister of Health of Azerbaijan expressed hope for further fruitful cooperation.

In turn, Tobias Lorenzson emphasized that Sweden attaches great importance to strengthening bilateral relations with Azerbaijan: “Diplomatic relations between our countries were established in 1992, and during this period cooperation between Sweden and Azerbaijan is developing in growing.” The ambassador emphasized that in Sweden the development of the pharmaceutical industry is paid to special attention, and expressed the interest of his country in strengthening cooperation with Azerbaijan in this area.

During the meeting, discussions were held to expand cooperation in the field of health and medical science, new prospects for the development and strengthening of cooperation in the field of the pharmaceutical industry, as well as the exchange of experience between national public health institutions. In addition, the parties discussed technical issues in the spring of this year in Baku of the information and educational “round table” on the topic “providing quality assistance to patients with genesome dermatoses.
