Baku and Tbilisi discussed defense cooperation

Deputy Minister of Defense, the commander of the Air Force, Ramiz Tairov met with an official visit to Baku by a delegation led by the deputy commander of the Georgian defense forces by Zaza Chhaidze. This was reported on Tuesday in the defense department of Azerbaijan.

The meeting emphasized the importance of the development of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Georgia in the field of military aviation and air defense, as well as in other areas. The guests were also informed of successful reforms conducted in the Azerbaijani army.

Major General Chkhaidze, in turn, thanked for the attention and hospitality.

The significance of such meetings for the further development of bilateral relations was noted.

The meeting also took place a detailed exchange of views on ensuring peace and security in the region, prospects for the development of joint military cooperation and other issues of mutual interest.
