Baku called Paris to refuse to support provocations of Armenia

The Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan responded to the Providermyan statement of the foreign policy service of France.

The department emphasized that the statement of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs of France dated April 12 in support of Armenia in connection with a provocation committed by the Armenian side on April 11 in the direction of the Border Lachinsky district of Azerbaijan does not reflect reality.

Baku recalled that for almost 25 years of mediation in the Azerbaijani-Armenian conflict, Paris did not give a proper assessment of the aggression and occupation policy of Yerevan. “France did not seek to resolve the conflict, continuing the slanderous campaign against Azerbaijan and after our country put the end of the occupation on its own. The last statement of the Foreign Ministry of France is another evidence,” the statement said further.

The foreign policy of the department emphasized that the fact that the French side does not call Armenia to respect the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan and does not require the withdrawal of the Armenian armed forces from the Azerbaijani territories, is an example of bias in relation to Baku.
