On Tuesday, May 6, Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev was accepted by the Prime Minister of Belarus Alexander Turchin. This was reported by the press service of the head of state.
Ilham Aliyev emphasized the importance of the further development of trade and economic relations in accordance with the spirit of existing political connections between Azerbaijan and Belarus.
At the meeting, an exchange of views on issues of further expansion of trade and economic ties between Azerbaijan and Belarus took place. In this context, the importance of the production of Belarusian automotive equipment at the Ganjin Automobile Plant and the creation of service centers for this equipment in various regions of Azerbaijan was emphasized. The issues of organizing joint plots for the production of elevators, household appliances, agricultural, in particular, livestock, meat and dairy and poultry products were discussed in Azerbaijan. The intergovernmental commission gave relevant instructions in the mentioned directions.
During the conversation, the participation of companies from Belarus in recovery and construction work on the territories of Azerbaijan was noted with satisfaction. The Prime Minister of Belarus said that as part of a visit to Azerbaijan he would visit the liberated territories and get acquainted with the situation on the ground.
During the conversation, an exchange of views on other issues representing mutual interest took place.
