Baku: Italian policy should serve as an example for European countries

The policy and approach of the Italian side regarding the region both during the conflict and in the post -conflict period have always been balanced. This was said by the press secretary of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry Ayhan Hajizade, commenting on the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy regarding the situation in the region.

According to him, the policy pursued by Italy should serve as an example for some European countries, including France.

“The fact that this country avoids the policy of ignoring violations of international law once again demonstrated that the Italian side is on a permanent basis in this matter, and proved how unreasonable and ineffective the destructive policy pursued by such countries as France”, -said Gadjizade.

The diplomat also noted that the statement of the Italian Foreign Ministry is, first of all, a reflection of respect for the fundamental principles and norms of international law. “At the same time, this demonstrates how important it is to avoid interfering in the internal affairs of countries and an irresponsible approach to such a sensitive issue as normalization and peaceful process between Azerbaijan and Armenia,” he concluded.
