Baku: political scientist is judged

A preliminary court hearing in the Baku Court of Crime was held in the criminal case of the ex-adviser on international relations of the chairman of the research center of international relations, Jebrail Farzaliev.

According to haqqın.az, during the meeting, under the direction of Judge Farid Namazov, the questionnaire’s questionnaire data were clarified. The lawyer of the accused submitted several petitions. One of them was associated with the return of the criminal case to the stage of the preliminary investigation.

The court did not satisfy the petition. The preparatory meeting will continue on February 14th.

J. Farzaliev is accused of assigning 527 thousand manat. He was charged under article 179.3.2 (assignment on a large amount) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan. The court concluded Farzaliev into custody.

Note that Farzaliev was a member of the Youth Union. He also carried out activities as a political scientist. In 2018, he became the winner of the 8th grant competition held with financial support of the Youth Foundation.
