Today, on March 5, a lawsuit continued in the Sabunchinsky district court over two more citizens of Armenia, accused of terrorism in Kelbajara – Sargsyan Ishkhan Ashtion and Raphael Vladimir Otari.
At the meeting, chaired by Judge of the Ganja court for grave crimes of Elmina Rustamova, lawyers accused.
After them, accused themselves.
According to the sentence of the judicial board, Sargsyan was sentenced to 19, and Raphaelian – by 18 years of imprisonment.
In accordance with the verdict, nine years will serve in prison, and the remaining time – in the colony of strict regime.
Leave the limits of Azerbaijan they will be able only after serving the sentence.
Recall that the prosecutor asked the court to sentence Ishkhan Sargsyan by 20 years of imprisonment, and Vladimir Raphaelana – by 19 years.
As stated in the indictment, on May 27, 2021, around 03:00, the commander of the group in the military unit of the special forces of the exploration of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia Sargsyan Ishkhan Ashted and held military service as an engineer-Spare Rafael Vladimir Otari illegally crossed the state border of Azerbaijan in the direction Kalybadzha district, where divisions of the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan are stationed, and carried out work on mining roads passing through the village of Yuhara Ayrym. These faces were detained at the crime scene. 23 mines of type “TM 62-M” and “E-00-M” type were discovered and seized.
In a criminal case, an initiated state security service, Sargsyan and Raphaelu, charges were charged under articles 214.2.3 (terrorism, perfect with the use of firearms and items used as a weapon), 228 (illegal acquisition, transmission, sales, storage, Transportation or wearing weapons, component parts for it, ammunition, explosives and explosive devices), 318 (illegal crossing of the state border of the Republic of Azerbaijan) and 282 (sabotage) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan.
