Baku said statements of Paris on Lachinsky road unreasonable

The official Baku considers it fundamentally unreasonable to approve the press secretary of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs of France Ann-Cler Lyandr on the installation of a checkpoint on the border with Armenia on April 23, at the beginning of the Lachin-Hankendi road.

About this on Monday, April 24 was announced to the Azerbaijan Foreign Ministry in response to the statements of the Foreign Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ann-Kler Lyandr regarding the situation on the Lachinsky road.

Installation of the border checkpoint in its own territory – the sovereign and legal right of Azerbaijan, emphasized the Azerbaijan Foreign Ministry.

“There is no reason to argue that this step contradicts the tripartite statement, or the international document or court decision. Azerbaijan guarantees the safety of citizens, vehicles and goods on the Lachin-Khandi road, and within the framework of obligations is ready to take measures in this direction in this direction “, – assured the department.

In Baku, Paris called for a biased position, not to create obstacles to peace, stability and development in the South Caucasus, and not to harm the process of normalizing relations with Armenia based on respect for international legal principles, such as territorial integrity and sovereignty.
