A preliminary investigation was completed in the criminal case of 35-year-old Yasin Gasanov, found guilty of murder from firearms in Kyiv.
According to haqqın.az, the materials of the criminal case were sent for consideration by the Baku court for serious crimes. The case is conducted by Judge Telman Huseynov. The preparatory court session is scheduled for July 21.
According to the indictment, as a result of the operation conducted by the Employees of the Main Directorate for Organized Crime, which was on the international wanted list and accused of killing his compatriot Davud Agaev in 2018 in Kyiv Yasin Gasanov was detained. During the investigation, it turned out that Hasanov had hostility to the murdered and the crime was committed on the basis of revenge.
It also turned out that Hasanov committed the murder together with his friend Valekh Khalilov and other persons not established yet. The killers waited for Agayev to leave the restaurant, and fired at him several times.
Yasina Gasanov was charged under several articles of the Criminal Code. The case against V. Khalilov and other participants in the crime not established by the investigation is allocated to a separate instance, and the investigation is currently ongoing.
Gasanov was previously a member of the Azerbaijani teams in judo, sambo and Pankration. The defendant is a 4-time Azerbaijani champion for sambo, as well as the champion and winner of the judo competition.
