Baku was celebrated on April 23 – day of national unity and children

Festive events were held in Baku on the occasion of April 23 – the day of national sovereignty and children.

The event organized at the Heydar Aliyev Palace was attended by Turkish ambassador to Baku Jahit Bagdzhi, representative of TRK in Baku Ufuk Turger, deputies of the Azerbaijani parliament, representatives of Turkish organizations and other guests.

The participants in the event honored with a minute of silence the memory of the founder of the Turkish Republic of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk. Then the national hymns of Turkey and Azerbaijan sounded.

Bagdzhi, who spoke at the event, said that on the same day the first meeting of the Great National Assembly (Parliament) was held in Turkey.

The ambassador emphasized that the 100th anniversary of the foundation of the Turkish Republic turned into a strong state, has achieved great success in economics and industry. Today, Türkiye also plays the role of an intermediary in the settlement of international conflicts, Bagdzhi noted.

As part of the event, the opening of an exhibition of children’s paintings dedicated to April 23 was also held.
