A meeting of the General Assembly of the International Automobile Federation (FIA) and the award ceremony will be held in Baku in 2023. Such a decision was made at a meeting of the FIA General Assembly, held in Italian Bologna.
At the event, Azerbaijan is represented by a delegation led by the president of the Azerbaijani Automobile Federation (AAF) Anar Alekperov.
It should be noted that several countries, including Azerbaijan, submitted applications for a meeting of the General Assembly of the FIA and the award ceremony. According to the results of the vote, the candidacy of Azerbaijan was approved. Thus, on December 4-8, 2023, Baku will accept this international event.
To participate in a meeting of the General Assembly of the FIA and the award ceremony in Azerbaijan, representatives of automobile organizations and prominent persons of motorsport from around the world will gather.
The General Assembly convened annually or in an extraordinary manner is the highest directive body of the FIA and consists of motorsport federations (clubs) representing organizations-member organizations of the Federation and clubs. The purpose of the event, which is held annually in different countries, is to discuss various topics in the field of motorsport and industry.
Award Ceremony (Fia Prize-Griving Ceremony) is considered one of the prestigious events in motorsport. This ceremony has been held since 2011 after the end of the FIA General Assembly. It is awarded various awards in the field of motorsport.
