The European Basketball Championship in Malta is continuing among small countries.
Today, the Azerbaijani team held its second match and was defeated again. This time, the wards of the Serbian coach Alexander Trifunovich lost to Andorra – 69:72.
Recall that yesterday our team lost to Malta (71:73). Thus, in group “A” Azerbaijan took the last 3rd place and will now play with the 2nd team of group “B”, where San Marino, Gibraltar and Armenia are performed. So far, only one game was held in this group, in which San Marino beat Gibraltar with a score of 61:47.
According to the results of the preliminary stage, group winners will directly reach the semifinals, and the teams that took the 2nd and 3rd places will play in matches for exit in the 1/2 finals.
