On July 20, a telephone conversation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Jahun Bayramov and his Russian colleague Sergei Lavrov.
According to the Azerbaijan Foreign Ministry, the interlocutors discussed the current issues of the bilateral agenda and the current regional situation. The importance of the full implementation of the provisions of tripartite statements adopted by the leaders of Azerbaijan, Russia and Armenia was emphasized.
In addition, the Foreign Minister exchanged views on transport and transit issues in the region, in particular, noted the importance of expanding the potential of the North-South transport corridor passing through the territory of Russia, Azerbaijan and Iran.
The parties also discussed other issues of mutual interest.
