Azerbaijan Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken as part of the 28th meeting of the OSCE member countries in Stockholm. This Haqqin.Az reported in the department.
It is noted that the parties discussed the development of bilateral cooperation between countries in the economic, energy and other fields, including in the field of security.
The Minister of Bayramov informed Anthony Blinken about the situation in the region, the scale of destruction on the liberated territories, the threat of minefields, and also spoke about the reasons for the appearance of tensions in the Azerbaijani-Armenian border, restoration and reconstruction work in Karabakh after the signing of a tripartite statement of November 10 2020 years.
During the meeting, Azerbaijan was the contribution of Azerbaijan to the energy sector, as well as the fact that the country is at the same time initiator, and the performer of important oil and gas projects and plays an important role in the field of energy security of the European Union.
US Secretary of State highly appreciated cooperation with Azerbaijan on world and security issues, including Azerbaijan’s activities in Afghanistan.
The meeting also emphasized the role of Azerbaijan in the fight against organized crime, terrorism, drug trafficking, threats and obstacles for peace and security.
At the end of the meeting, the parties discussed regional and global issues of mutual interest.
